Apply for a Grant

The SBEP Bay Partners Grant Program promotes environmental education, awareness, community involvement, and stewardship to improve the overall quality of Sarasota Bay and its tributaries. To support these goals, funding is available from SBEP for local projects that focus on Bay Habitat Improvement, Bay Water Quality Improvement, or Bay-Related Environmental Education.

The application period for 2017 Bay Partners Grants has closed. Please check back in January 2018 for the 2018 Bay Partners Grants application.

Businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, academic institutions, civic associations, religious organizations, and neighborhood/homeowners’ associations located in Sarasota and Manatee counties with projects that will benefit the Sarasota Bay watershed are eligible to receive funding.

Since 2003, the SBEP has awarded over $275,000 in Bay Partners Grants to support 65 area organizations throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program is dedicated to restoring the area's greatest natural asset - Sarasota Bay. We offer special thanks to our partners: Sarasota County, Manatee County, City of Sarasota, City of Bradenton, Town of Longboat Key, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Southwest Florida Water Management District.
