Manatee County Parks & Natural Resources Department’s Annual Photography Challenge!

Manatee County's preserves offer visitors many wonderful opportunities to capture spectacular photographs and we would like to showcase these images during our annual Photography Challenge. Anyone that is interested in sharing their photos may submit up to ten (10) digitized entries for consideration in the Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources Department's 3rd annual Photography Challenge! The top photos will be featured in a gallery presentation in the Valentine House at Robinson Preserve. To submit photographs:

Step 1: Submit an entry of up to ten (10) photos no later than February 28th, 2017. There are two ways to submit your images:

Please keep in mind:

  • Please include contact information, an email and/or phone number, and the name of the location where the photo was taken.
  • All entries must be photos taken within a Manatee County preserve, park, beach or boat ramp.
  • All entries must be provided as JPEG format. (minimum of 500 KB)
  • Images of animals in distress because of possible interference or harassment will not be considered.
  • There is no fee to enter images.

Step 2: Once your images have been submitted, you will be contacted by email or phone to notify you that these images have been received.

Step 3: A notification will be sent to all participants announcing the winning entries as well as an invitation to view the photos at a special event where the winning photos will be reviled during a gallery presentation in the Valentine House at Robinson Preserve.

PLEASE NOTE: Manatee County cannot return any photographs submitted to it. Submission of photographs or other images constitutes representation that the person making the submission has the legal authority to make the submission, and that Manatee County is granted permission to use the photographs or images without compensation in any of its print or web-based productions, including image databases and marketing materials. The County will make every effort to credit the artist, owner or photographer in such materials. Manatee County will not sell or market any individual image to the general public.
