Grants support community stewardship of Sarasota Bay

The Sarasota Bay Partners Grants Program promotes environmental education, awareness, community involvement, and stewardship to improve the overall quality of Sarasota Bay and its tributaries. To support these goals, the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program funds local projects that focus on Habitat Restoration and Bay-Related Environmental Education and Stewardship. Since 2003, SBEP has awarded over $300,000 in Bay Partners Grants to support Bay-friendly projects conducted by 80 area organizations in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

Businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, colleges, civic associations, religious organizations, and neighborhood/homeowners’ associations located in Sarasota and Manatee counties with projects that will benefit the Sarasota Bay watershed are eligible to receive funding.

Visit the Sarasota Bay Partners Grants page on our website for application information. Applications are due on Friday, March 1, 2019.

Please contact Darcy Young, Director of Planning and Communications by email or (941) 955-8085 for more information.
