Ron grew up in central Indiana where he developed a keen interest in wildlife and spent many hours roaming the woods and waterways observing nature. After college he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam era. Ron left the Air Force directly for training at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia. He entered duty as a Special Agent on January 16, 1971 and retired 26 years later in Tampa. After retirement, he and his wife spent three years cruising aboard their sailboat, before settling in Parrish, Florida. It was an assignment in Alaska many years ago that inspired his interest in wildlife photography. Ron enjoys traveling the South and especially Florida to capture images of wildlife and country scenes. Learn more at www.ronwooldridgephotography.com.
